VAP Mike Miller --- Week of June 4-8

This update brought to you by Syngenta. You can expect more than just a product solution from Syngenta. We’ll work with you to create long-term plans to help maximize yield and profit potential.

Northwest wheat grower Mike Miller shares that rains are in the forecast for the early part of this week.

Miller: “Overall I’d say the winter wheat crop looks above average. In some spots now we’ve got about three weeks for it to make up its mind whether it will going to fill really well or if it is going to shrivel. It is really up to Mother Nature.”

Miller says Strip Rust is becoming more of a problem and they have reserved some time with their local arial applicator.

Miller: “From what I’ve heard, over a sixty mile radius is maybe about 25 percent of the acres have been sprayed a second application of Tilt.”

He says June looks to be promising.

Miller: “Overall, agriculture looks pretty solid for the next month.”

Syngenta offers cereal growers a robust portfolio of top-performing seed treatment and crop protection products, including industry-leading Axial® brand herbicides, to address local pest challenges and ensure crops reach their full yield potential.
