Voices Across the Plains -- Week of June 18

This update brought to you by Syngenta. You can expect more than just a product solution from Syngenta. We’ll work with you to create long-term plans to help maximize yield and profit potential.

Northwest wheat grower Mike Miller shares that stripe rust, though present in some fields, wasn’t as big of issue as last year.

Miller: “Airplanes are spraying rust. We are about done with that I think. The wheat is about far ahead that it is what it is now. It wasn’t quite the panic that it was last year but I think that guys were better prepared and the severity wasn’t there from that standpoint.”

Miller says the dryland wheat harvest looks to be right about on time.

Miller: “I think we will be right on schedule. West of Ritzville we start about the 18 to 20 of July and it looks like we are about a month away. We’ll be right there.”

Syngenta offers cereal growers a robust portfolio of top-performing seed treatment and crop protection products, including industry-leading Axial® brand herbicides, to address local pest challenges and ensure crops reach their full yield potential.
