Voices Across the Plains -- Week of July 2

This update brought to you by Syngenta. You can expect more than just a product solution from Syngenta. We provide the products, knowledge and service needed to help ensure top yields and maximum profit potential.

Northwest wheat grower Mike Miller shares that unlike the rest of the country struggling with hot dry temperatures and no moisture, in his area they’ve received between two and three inches of rain within the last two weeks.

Miller: “Lots and lots of rain -- rain is good. It helps builds the heads and takes the stress off the plant from heat. So it is going to help the wheat finish really well. ”

In addition to the moisture helping the current wheat crop, it is also good news for fallow fields.

Miller: “It also helps build up the moisture in our summer fallow that we will seed this fall for our winter wheat. Again that is just good news.”

Syngenta offers cereal growers a diverse portfolio of seeds, seed treatment and crop protection product solutions to address local pest challenges and help ensure top yield and quality. Visit VoicesAcrossThePlains.com for for information.
