Wheat Futures Traded Mixed on Friday

I'm KayDee Gilkey with the Market Line Report for Monday, June 26th. With an update of Friday's Markets here is Allendale Brokers' RJ Meyer

Meyer: "Well, we've got some bearish fundamentals hitting the market today. Corn and beans under a bit of pressure while wheat is finding a bit of support. Minneapolis still leads the way, but a lot of this is coming off of two major reports. One a disappointing crop coming out of France and the other lower acreage estimates for planted wheat coming out of Canada. Additionally livestock is a bit mixed today. We've got fats and hogs under pressure while feeders are finding a little bit of support."

Chicago September wheat prices closed Friday down 1 and 1/2 cents at 4-59 and 3/4. September corn ended the day down a nickel at 3-57 and 3/4.

Portland prices for soft white wheat of ordinary protein ended the day down 1 and 1/2 cents ranging from 4-86 and 1/4 to 5-06 and 1/4. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5% protein prices were down 3 and 1/2 cents ranging from 5-39 and 1/4 to 5-59 and 1/4. June DNS wheat with 14% protein prices were up a nickel ranging from 7-61 and 1/4 to 7-76 and 1/4.
