Colorado Livestock Assn Symposium To Be Held on October 13th

On October 13th the Colorado Livestock Association will be hosting an information packed Arkansas Valley Livestock Symposium at Otero Jr College in La Junta. Topics on the agenda range from Veterinarian Feed Directives, cattle market update from CattleFax analyst, to just name a few. Also included is a safety training class that qualifies as a safety training for CLA Safety Group members.

Colorado Livestock Association Chief Executive Officer Bill Hammerich says it will be a worthwhile event to attend.

Hammerich: "We hope that there are some takeaways here that people can go home and find some use for — whether it is future planning obviously related to safety getting their employees engaged and involved in a safety program. Things regarding the environment — the air, the water — those are issues that are going to continue to be with us and we like to think that we have been very proactive over the last ten years in addressing those issues. Reducing dependency on antibiotics that Dr. Larry Hollis is going to talk about is certainly on the minds of consumers and every day gets more on the minds of producers.:

The event is free although CLA requests attendees to RSVP at coloradolivestock.org so they have an accurate head count for lunch.
