Hubbard Feeds Joins Relief Efforts for NE CO Ranchers Affected By Wildfire

Hubbard Feeds, a Mankato, MN based Company with a plant located in Fort Collins and across the U.S. and a leading provider of animal nutrition products is providing livestock feed relief to the fire-stricken cattle producers and ranchers in Colorado as well as Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Hubbard Feeds Sales Manager Katie Sinclair shares

Sinclair: “We are just out there to support our community members and with the amount of devastation that happened in Philips and Logan County — they lost 32,000 acres of rangeland. Those are our customers. People that we would like to help out and help them keep sustaining their business in the state of Colorado. We felt that donating feed was a way we could help.”

She continues with more details.

Sinclair: “In the state of Colorado we’ve donated range cubes as well as molasses protein tubs for cattle in our area. Across the country we are donating calf pellets, milk replacers and some other products just to help people get going and help to sustain those cattle while they are trying to either find some place to find grass or to get them in a feedlot situation to go ahead and feed them because their grass is ruined. It is gone.”

Sinclair mentioned many organizations are helping — she had gratitude for one individual.

Sinclair: “A big thank you to Duane Kirkwood of Kirkwood-Schepler Inc from Sterling Colorado donated the trucking for the range cake.
