Colorado Pork Producers Annual Meeting on June 2nd

The Colorado Pork Producers Association will hold their annual meeting on Friday, June 2nd at the Island Grove Regional Park in Greeley. Colorado Pork Producers Executive Director Joyce Kelly provides more details.

Kelly: "We're going to have speakers from the National Pork Board. We're going to have the Commissioner of Ag come and speak. We going to be hearing an update from the U.S. Meat Export Federation, from the State Veterinarian's Office. We're going to be talking about some new youth programs that we've got going on. So there is a lot of interest for anyone in the livestock industry or the pork industry. And that should go to about 1 o'clock."

She says that lunch will be provided and to please RSVP by Mary 29th at info@copork.org. Then following the meeting in the evening, Kelly says will be another exciting event as she explains

Kelly: "We're going to have our Second Annual Taste of Elegance which is going to be a fundraiser for the Colorado FFA Foundation and the Colorado Chefs Association. We're going to have a 10-course pork tasting. We're going to have Colorado wine and beer, some wonderful music and just a really good time. If anyone has been out to the Platte River Fort in Kersey — that is where this event is going to be held. It is just beautiful and it's going to be a great event."
