Deputy Agriculture Secretary Hearing

The Senate Agriculture Committee has heard directly from the nominee for Deputy Agriculture Secretary. Steve Censky currently CEO of the American Soybean Association, sat down with committee members to give them more information about his background and what he sees as the 3 top priorities of the Deputy Agriculture Secretary.

"Diversification of markets. Diversification of crops. Preparation for and adaption for changing weather and climates. And expansion of broadband to rural America."

Ag Chairman Pat Roberts insisted the nominee agree to helping them craft a new Farm Bill without cutting Crop Insurance.

The committee will meet again in the coming weeks for a vote on Censky's nomination.
