Deputy Ag Secretary Steven Cynsky joined hundreds of young and future farmers at the recent 4-H National Youth Summit on Agri Science

The USDA says Cynsky wanted to remind young people that agriculture science covers a broad range of work from animal science and plant science to microbiology and food science.

The 4-H conference brings together agricultural scientists, researchers, leaders, politicians, and advocates from around the country.

The Summit emphasizes hands-on educational experiences for young people led by experts in the agricultural community.

The national summit ends as preparations get underway for the Colorado 4-H Day at the Capitol and Youth Fest.

4-H organizations exist in over 50 countries and has about 6 and half million members.
