Farmers and a ranchers know well, if there's no water there's no farm and no ranch. The Colorado Ag Water Alliance is hosting two workshops in Southwest Colorado for farmers and ranchers to share information and talk about agricultural water issues.

These workshops are an opportunity for ag producers to be better informed about what is happening with water across the state and provide feedback. The Alliance has put together a video compililation of farmers ranchers and other water use officials highlight the issue of water shortages and water sharing.

The agenda will include speakers such as State Engineer Kevin Rein discussing "Use It or Lose It." Luke Gingerich of J-U-B Engineers on "Strategies for Water Scarcity in the Grand Valley. Other topics include: "Piping and Lining Ditches ," "What Colorado Ag Producers Think about Ag Water Leasing" and a discussion on Stream Management Plans.

The events are put on in part by the Southwest Basin Roundtable and the National Young Farmers Coalition. They're set for Mancos January 30th and in Arriola , January 31st
