Culver's Restaurants Supports Farmers

I've never had the opportunity to eat in a Culver's Restaurant or tried their famous ButterBurgers or Frozen Custard, but I'm impressed with their commitment to agriculture. Culver's CEO Joseph Koss explains why his company supports agriculture.

Koss: "We have a belief at Culver's that we need to have a strong connection with the farming community. Over the past several years we've been able to strengthen our ties to the farming community through our Thank You Farmers Initiative and our affiliation with the FFA and now we are getting involved with more industry groups. We just feel we need to continue to better educate ourselves about farming and where our food comes from so we can help better educate our guests."

What a positive message of support from a quick serve restaurant. Although there are not any Culver's locations in either Washington or Oregon as of now — there is one in Southern Idaho and 12 locations in Colorado up and down the I-25 corridor. Koss continues

Koss: "We're wouldn't be where we are today, without the great farmers across this great country. So we began the Thank You Farmers Initiative to really show our support for farmers across the nation as well as our affiliation with the FFA — just a tremendous leadership group — that we have been ablel to partner with. With the help of our terrific franchise community, we've been able to raise over $1 M for the FFA over that past five years. We're very proud of that fact."
