Celebrating 50 years, the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture, among other things, is creating educational resources to address ag literacy.

Hilary Maricle is with the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture and says they work to build bonds of trust between consumers and farmers and ranchers.

This year, the Foundation gave away 50 teacher resource grants, created a free ag careers curriculum and updated the Farm and Food Facts book to provide accurate information to consumers about agriculture.

The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture will announce its 11th Book of the Year on Sunday, Jan. 7, at the AFBF Annual Convention & IDEAg Trade Show in Nashville, Tennessee. The winning book will be revealed at the annual Flapjacks with the Foundation breakfast, where attendees will receive a free copy of the book provided by Farm Bureau Bank.
