Can technology help dairy farmers breed better cattle?

Genetic databases and new algorithms are complicated and hard to understand but all are necessary to improve cattle and make better selection decisions.

Joe Deere is from Sweeden - and is the CEO with the Council on Dairy Cattle Breeding, who explains how monitoring new genetic traits can lead to healthier dairy cattle.

To meet that goal, the organization announced six new genetic evaluations for health traits, which will become available in April 2018.
