Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the USDA and the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy to promote environmental sustainability in the dairy industry.

He signed the agreement while at a dairy farm in California. Perdue talks about what he learned while at the farm.

"We learned all the challenges of the modern Dairy operation has to go through the technology and its created in this modern Dairy Bar near the root Dairy is fascinating of all the things it's like I don't think people really comprehend what goes into keeping the Cow Say and keeping them fed and healthy to produce a healthy source of milk that can go into cheese fluid milk throughout the country"

Perdue talks about what they hope to accomplish by signing the memorandum.

"To partner in how we can continue to create not only economic stability for Dairy Farmers but environmental sustainability in food safety issues to continue it is phenomenal Health adaptive and early adopters farmers are of technology to improve their product and to persuade consumers they're getting the best product in the world that's why we're here."

Dairy farmers across the country are worried about a sudden visit from Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents who are looking for illegal aliens.

Perdue says his ideal situation would be to find a way to give those folks a chance to become an entirely legal workforce that doesn't have to look over their shoulders anymore.
