Ranchers still need workers, but some of those workers are becoming a little more technically savvy.

New technology is being used on the Ranch these days. One of the latest tools to be introduced to ranching is the use of drones.

Quinn Jackson sells drones and says this technology has many expanding uses.

And Jackson says this type of technology is not limited to the air. He foresees many other applications.

Drones are already being used for much more now than the eye in the sky... some create 3D models of rangelands ..others deliver food to ranch hands.

One research team says they have successfully used drones as "flying border collies" to herd cows.
