Maybe the trade war with China is making an impact on the Chinese after all.

CNN reported that privately run Chinese firms bought at least 10 boatloads of U.S. soybeans recently, the country's most significant purchases since at least June.

Mark Jekanowski with the USDA says he expects the pace of U.S. soybean sales to China to increase.

The most recent purchase of US Soybeans comes ahead of high-level talks next month aimed at ending a bilateral trade war that has lasted more than a year.

American soybean farmers have been hit particularly hard by the trade war. China was their biggest market before China imposed taxes on soybeans from the United States.
