"Just Eat Less"

Fame and money seem to act as a generator for “foot in mouth disease”. Take 73 year old fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood’s comment recently that those who can’t afford organic foods should “just eat less”. Westwood is now trying to defend that statement, which left most people just shaking their heads and wondering if the Bozo the Clown red hair dye she used for years damaged her little gray cells. Back peddling as fast as her little legs can go Westwood now says that she is “deeply upset” if anyone thinks she doesn’t care about starving people; she just meant that people should eat less meat - talk about switching in mid-stream. Obviously this was not a very well thought out retort. Has this woman never heard of organic meat? But perhaps this was the plan all along, to make an outrageous comment that she could then retract in order to redirect attention to her anti-meat platform. Nah, probably not; that would imply a method to her madness.
