**Chinese officials were in Washington, D.C. for trade negotiations with President Trump and Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue.
According to Perdue, both sides are clear on what the other wants but coming to agreement and putting proper enforcement mechanisms in place will be the challenge.
He tells agweb.com, I think there's a very serious desire on both sides to reach a comprehensive trade deal, but we have a lot of work to do.

**President Trump defended his trade policy in his State of the Union message last week, insisting he's optimistic about the ongoing negotiations with China.
Agrimarketing.com reports, Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue expects a U.S. delegation to return to China later this month to continue the talks ahead of a meeting between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Trump also announced a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un later this month.

**While this year's Super Bowl may have been seen as bland, there was mixed reaction over an ad about "chunky-style milk."
As reported in agweb.com, many from the dairy sector reacted to the Super Bowl ad about "Chunky-Style Milk" from Mint Mobile.
The commercial showed a family sitting down to a breakfast with "chunky-style milk because it has the wholesome chunks kids need."
The company's Twitter page even contains the tagline "Chunky style milk? That's not right."
Some farmers asked people to "pick your battles" and "don't act like vegans, stop being offended."
