Back to School Webinars. I'm Greg Martin with today's Fruit Grower Report.

Just in time for back to school, Washington Farm Labor Association is pulling out three new webinars for ag employers. The webinars will take a look at three important areas:

• Conducting an HR Investigation;

• Is Piece Rate Going Away?; and

• Check the Box - When can you Exclude job seekers with a Criminal Past?

These webinars are available exclusively to WAFLA members for one low cost of $75. With the "Conducting an HR Investigation" webinar on Thursday, Sept. 11, Rod Stephens, Attorney and Counselor at Law, Stephens Law Firm walks you through an HR investigation, provides sample policies and forms, and answers questions such as when you can conduct the investigation yourself and when you should hire an outside, expert. On Thursday, Sept 18, Jason Resnick, Vice President, General Counsel, Western Growers will tackle the topic "Is Piece Rate Going Away?" Finally on Thursday, Sept. 25, WAFLA's Dan Fazio will look at "When can you Exclude job Seekers with a Criminal Past?" and the issues surround that problem. You will want to mark Thursdays on your calendar this month and contact the Washington Farm Labor Association to sign up for these important classes. If you aren't a WAFLA member, log on to www.wafla.org for more information on joining.

That's today's Fruit Grower Report. I'm Greg Martin on the Ag Information Network.
