Hort App. I'm Greg Martin with today's Fruit Grower Report.
If you are planning to attend this year's Washington State Hort Associations annual convention there will be something new and exciting to help you navigate all the sessions. Nicole Brunner with WSHA explains.
BRUNNER: I went back to the United Convention on policy back in September and I registered for that event and it said "Would you like to download and app?" Prior to going you download the app and it was a nice little app that gave you general information about their meeting and about the speakers, the agenda.
Brunner says they worked on developing an app for the hort convention.
BRUNNER: So we thought that since it was a new year, changes have been happening, let's add something additional to our convention and we brought it back. Thus we have the app.
They will of course continue to produce the printed guide but the app will be a nice addition for those smartphone techies.
BRUNNER: Most people have a smartphone these days so just to go to a smartphone to be able to bring up the agenda for the next couple of days and if they wanted to look up a speaker or the sponsorships the app can go right to the homepage websites of those sponsors so it's very nice and convenient and you could see also who's at the convention because it links in all those people who upload the app.
