WSHA Annual Meeting

WSHA Annual Meeting

WSHA Annual Meeting. I'm Greg Martin with today's Fruit Grower Report.

Get ready for the very last Washington State Horticultural Association Annual Meeting. Really! As of next year that meeting will be the Washington State Tree Fruit Association's meeting. The Ag Network's David Sparks has more.

SPARKS: Next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the Annual Hort meeting will be at the Three Rivers Convention Center, Kennewick. This marks the first year the meeting will be in the Tri-Cities. The three days are packed with sessions on a variety of topics from new paradigms in the fields to precision horticulture. The annual meeting is also a great chance to reconnect with old friends or to compare notes from this last seasons crops with what did and didn't work for your operation. The meeting will also include the expo and trade show with dozens of vendors showing off the newest innovations for the 2015 growing season. The expo will be located in the Toyota Center directly adjacent to the Convention Center.

Thanks David. There will be a tractor safety class offered on Tuesday. The 2 hour course will be taught by Washington Labor and Industries. Another big change this year is the addition of a smartphone app. The App has convention information including the Annual Meeting schedule, exhibitor list, interactive map, updates and more all at your fingertips. Visit the app store. For more information and to sign up visit wahort.org.
