With today's Fruit Grower Report, I'm Bob Larson. You won't need your surf board to catch the WAVE in Prosser next month.

It's a seminar called WAVE, or Washington Advancements in Viticulture and Enology, put on by the Washington Wine Commission, and registration is now open ...

MELISSA HANSEN ... "This will be the second annual WAVE that we are sponsoring. Last year was a sell-out event and we had it at WSU's Wine Science Center. And the purpose of WAVE is to be a one-day seminar, the whole day focused just on viticulture and enology research that the wine industry has been supporting. And it's a way to get that information out into the hands of the users, the growers and the wine makers."

The Wine Commission's Research Program Manager Melissa Hansen says this year's meeting is April 19th ...

MELISSA HANSEN ... "And because we had limited space last year and we couldn't accommodate everybody, we had a waiting list that we couldn't get everybody in, we've moved it to the Walter Clore Center in Prosser. So, we have plenty of room. Registration includes $15, is a minimal amount for registration, and that covers lunch, a wine social hour, and then some snacks in between. It's really designed to be at a fee that everybody can come, not just one person on your staff, but to bring everybody so that they can benefit."

Listen tomorrow and find out who the WAVE seminar is set up for and some of the topics they plan to have on the agenda.
