Scott and Cody Bird raise potatoes and wheat on 35 hundred acres of family homesteaded land near Pocatello. In addition to raising crops and a young family they're also preside of the Idaho Farm Bureau's Young Farmer and Rancher program where they enjoyed one of the biggest turnouts ever at this year's leadership conference. SCOTT "We've taken on a lot of new responsibilities that we haven't have in the past. We try to communicate with more people across the state so we get a better feel of exactly what issues everybody has on their front burners and some of the things that are going on. People call us quite often asking questions. It puts me in a position where if I don't know then I know other people who do know so I'm educating myself at the same time as I'm giving information to the people that want it." CODY "I think it's made us more organized and more comfortable in public areas. As far as the changes I've seen in Scott himself he is a better communicator." Cody and Scott Bird, co-chairs of the Idaho Young Farmers and Ranchers. Voice of Idaho Agriculture Bill Scott
