Continuing our tour with Zippy DuVall, we all sat down to lunch. "Eat beef. It's the healthiest food there is." The lunch was with Farm Bureau leaders in Idaho Falls and was the first face to face with Idaho farmers. Teton County Pres. Stephen Begley expressed his concerns with federal land use issues in the West and was pleased with what he heard."I know president DuVall is going to be veryEngaged with the department of agriculture on these federal issues we have here in the West. We have individuals who are set aside from agriculture but they're still running these departments so it makes it difficult for us involved in agriculture whether it's grazing or forest products and such to really get a foothold on progressing into the future." Danny Ferguson, Idaho Farm Bureau water committee chairman talked water systems with DuVall at the great feeder diversion canal on the south fork of the Snake River. The day ended with a County picnic in Blackfoot where DuVall spoke words of encouragement to the future farmers of America. "Don't let anybody ever tell you you can't reach your dreams. If you decide you want to do something and you want to focus on it and you pray about it, and you work hard, you can achieve that dream and don't let anybody discourage you and we hope your dreams is involved with agriculture.
