Founded in 1914 as an 80 acre homestead with 8 acres of fruit trees, Symms Fruit Ranch has today become a 5,200 acre family owned and operated grower, packer and shipper of top quality fresh produce. Now in the fifth generation of active family management, the fruit ranch, located in Sunny Slope southwest of Caldwell, Idaho produces over 20 varieties of apples, cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, pears, wine grapes and onions. Their orchards are planted on rich volcanic soil on the hills overlooking the Snake River and their products are sold both domestically and internationally. Symms Fruit Ranch is one of the nations Top 100 Fruit Growers and Packers listed in the Fruit Grower Magazine. We recently visited with manager Dar Symms. “I started back here in 1994 full-time and at that time, the state of Idaho produced about 5 million boxes of apples. Our other large fruit items are peaches and cherries and those are fairly steady in Idaho. Peaches are probably larger than they were in the 90’s.

Let me read you a Facebook comment on the fruit ranch from Mary Cruz Mary Kruse: I have never ever had such delicious peaches in my life!!!!! I am heart broken that our Brennan's Market is closing in Southeastern Wisconsin. I need to know if you distribute to other grocers in the area or will I be able to order online? I am desperate!
