12/16/05 Young Farmer and Rancher, Robertson

Ryan and Mindy Robertson and their three young children call Hidden Valley their home. MINDY "You're actually in Lincoln County. Dietrich is 13 miles to the west and we're 29 miles out of Paul." And Hidden Valley is hidden in the open range country along Highway 24. In fact near mile marker 57 you'll find the bullet riddled sign that points the way to the Robertson's farm. MINDY "I think someone found a gun and was sighting it in." RYAN "In about '72 they came out here and started disking sagebrush under and started drilling wells and then my father started farming in about '77 out here, '76. We've been out here ever since. It's a third generation farm. We farm out here in the Hidden Valley area. We have hay and sugarbeets and grain. We farm about 13 hundred acres of beets, about 700 acres of hay and usually around a thousand to 15 hundred acres of grain. It's me and my dad and my brother, we all farm together." Young Farmers and Ranchers, Ryan and Mindy Robertson of Lincoln County. Voice of Idaho Agriculture Bill Scott
