The 79th annual meeting of the Idaho Farm Bureau Federation was just held and over 250 Farmer rancher families gathered in Boise to set policy for Idaho's largest general farm organization. Farmer Fred Burnstir, a long time Farm Bureau member says attending the meeting is a learning experience with friends." You get to learn a lot when you come. You learn about the markets, you get to talk to different people and it helps you to understand what you should be doing to market your products, it helps you a lot." Sarah Herb of Blackfoot livestock says the Farm Bureau has always been the go-to guy for her fourth generation ranching family."Having any kind of help and support, a go to person for any questions is really important. Farm Bureau has played a huge role in not only my parents farming help but on down to me and my kids as well." University of Idaho students who are members of the collegiate members of the young farmers and ranchers program of farm bureau, are also attending the conference. Sophomore Dana Reynolds says the Farm Bureau is a great resource for agricultural studies. "I would say that I have sincerely appreciated my access to resources. Belonging to an organization like the Idaho Farm Bureau has given me a a lot of opportunities to meet new people as well as learn lots and lots about the industry so I really appreciate the resources that are here."
