Cattle Pumpkin

When I was a kid, one of my favorite times of the year was Halloween. As part of the annual celebration, I always sat down with my dad and carved a pumpkin. The problem that I had personally was that I am a horrible artist and that's where my artistic dad came in. He would draw a picture of some ghastly face missing teeth and having big ghostly eyes. And the nose ranged from a huge pair of nostrils to just a triangle. At the end of it all it went on the front porch for all the neighborhood to see, certainly not all the world.

Well things have changed as I heard from Idaho Cattle Association's executive director, Wyatt Prescott: "Pull out your carving knives and join ICA's first pumpkin-carving contest.  All jack-o-lanterns must represent the cattle industry, and the winner receives a full registration to ICA's Annual Convention and Trade Show in November.  Post your photos to the ICA website, or email them to britany@idahocattle.org"
