I got a press release from The Animal Agriculture Alliance discussing a report that detailed observations from the 34th annual Animal Rights National Conference presented by The Farm Animal Rights Movement (FARM). At first take, it wasn't clear to me what The Animal Agriculture Alliance stood for in terms of their platform so I called Hannah Thompson, communications director, The Animal Agriculture Alliance: "The Animal Agriculture Alliance is an industry-united, nonprofit organization that helps bridge the communication gap between farm and fork. We connect key food industry stakeholders to arm them with responses to emerging issues. We engage food chain influencers and promote consumer choice by helping them better understand modern animal agriculture. We protect by exposing those who threaten our nation's food security with damaging misinformation." So you are not in any way shape or form opposed to animal agriculture, correct? No, absolutely not. We are all about representing and working on behalf of America's farm and ranch community. We know the amount of work that goes into raising animals and the amount of care that farmers have for those animals."
