A recent article by a PETA activist tried to paint FFA students in a bad light because of the author and organization’s views on animal rights.  This has caused a massive stir in the agricultural community, with many coming to the defense of the FFA. I talked with former police officer, present-day farmer, Creator/Host: Off-Farm Income Podcast & Contributor to "FFA Today" on Rural Radio, SiriusXM, Matt Brechwald: “There was an article that was put out last week on social media that said ‘FFA is lame AF and AF is an Internet term for as ( and then the F word). The article went on to break down the 11 pillars of FFA and showed all of these photographs and videos of dead animals, animals being castrated, animals being abused by bad seeds in the industry and then went on to make the argument that FFA kids who are following the FFA and who are learning these principles that are hypocritical and they are being brainwashed. So it is a big attack article on the FFA citing animal cruelty and all of this type of garbage so there has been a big backlash.
