Border Wars

I’m Susan Allen this is  OpenRange. It took the murder of  a prominent Arizona rancher by an illegal to finally get  a reaction our from our government,   where’s the action!  “Scared is not a word that can truly describe the feelings that are felt by those of us living in the terror zone” A terror  zone? The words penned by my fourteen year cousin for his English class  aren’t from Iraq, he’s on an Arizona ranch. The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association and the Public Lands Council among others are urging the government to beef up security in a region that for more than a 100 years has played an vital role in the beef industry. The media has ignored or  worse demonized families who now arm themselves to walk from house to outbuilding, whose dogs are routinely  shot, who’s property is littered  with garbage and human feces. As with  tea party movement it’s the  ranchers that are being labeled  raciest.  Fourth generation rancher Rob Krenz  was out  checking waterlines earlier this month and saw a lone man in the distance, he was going to bring the illegal water like he had so many times prior. They found Rob dead next to his four wheeler riddled by  a Glock 9mm his dog barely alive still at his side had to be put down. Please listen to the Krentz family statement, I quote “Their disregard of our repeated pleas and warnings of impending violence towards our community fell on deaf ears shrouded in political correctness. As a result, we have paid the ultimate price for their negligence in credibly securing our borderlands.”  This statement needs to be our political plea as well.  All Americans will pay dearly if our  government  continues to ignore the travesty of our borders.  The war is now on US Soil.
