More about the CCA Convention

At last week's Colorado Cattlemen's Association and Colorado CattleWomen's annual convention in Grand Junction, there was plenty going on in addition to celebrating the 150 anniversary of the CCA and the 75th for the CattleWomen.

Colorado Cattlemen's Association Marketing and Communications Director Sarah Smith shares some of the highlights

Smith: "We had over 600 people there through the door. It was our biggest event to date."

Several awards were presented throughout the convention as Smith continues

Smith: "We presented the Leopold Conversation Award to Rancho Largo owned by Grady Grissom in Fowler. IMI Global received the National BQA Marketer Award. One of CCA's past presidents Gene Manuello was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award."

The CCA's also awarded it Lifetime Member Award to the State of Colorado.

Another of the event's highlight was the block party

Smith: "We had a big block party on Tuesday night and it was great to see so many different generations come out and celebrate and socialize."
