Hi everybody it's time for your Land and Livestock Report here on the Ag Information Network of the West-I'm Russell Nemetz.

Well this week I'm on a military wool tour here in Carolina's hosted by the American Sheep Industry Association's Wool Council. And over the next couple of days we'll be visiting wool mills in both North Carolina and South Carolina that are instrumental in the overall success of American wool in today's textile industry.

With us to tell us more about this week's Military Wool Tour is Rita Kourlis Samuelson, the ASI's Director of Wool Marketing.

"During the American Wool Council's military tour, we'll be touring U.S. facilities that are processing U.S. wool from raw wool scouring all the way to final product. It's an opportunity to show the military the versatility of this fiber and that American wool is poised to serve any need they have for safe, durable and practical garments."

And you can learn more about other exciting activities the American Wool Council is doing by visiting www.americanwool.org.

That's your Land and Livestock Report-I'm Russell Nemetz.
