Jason DeVorek with Winfield Solutions. We are a division of Land O Lakes. I am an ag tech specialist for them. I deal with the R7 tool, taking satellite imagery, getting the NDVI to be able to segregate out the lower yielding areas of the field versus the higher yielding areas so that we can transfer inputs from those four areas of the field to the better areas to help drive yield in both. For the imagery side, we used satellites and there are several constellations that we use. It is a 22 m resolution. When it is all said and done most of the growers can't manage to less than a 40 foot swath with a planter. So between 12 to 14 m resolution is about what they can manage anyway. In the northwest, do you do anything with specialty crops like potatoes, tree fruits etc.? Yes we have been looking at some of that. Particularly for disease pressures. It works the best on grass crops. It correlates about 80% to yield. We are mainly looking for the stressed areas of the field. The stressed areas have less chlorophyll, less biomass so it gives you a roadmap to areas that deserve more attention, to figure out why those areas are that way and can we change that?
