Dennis Dunn is a life long archery hunter with a very interesting background. "I grew up without any hunters in my family but my mother introduced me to archery when I was about five. I went off to summer camp at age 7 where they had real bows and arrows and I got addicted to the sport of archery. Even though I never had anybody mentor me into hunting, I just got this romantic idea as a young kid how neat it would be, once I was old enough to drive, to go to where the deer live in the forest and sneak around like an Indian with a bow and arrow and hand and see if I couldn't sneak up on a deer or a bull elk. Once I was 16 with a driver's license I started hunting deer. I didn't take my first deer with a bow until I was out of college at age 24. From then on it got to be a pretty serious thing in my life. I think since then I have taken over 100 big game animals with a bow and arrow. I have never used any sites for aiming. I just shoot purely instinctively. 99% of bow hunters use sight pins that stick out horizontally above the arrow rest. I have just always shot bare bow which means the bows I use are bare of any sighting devices and as a result it makes the challenge of aiming far more difficult but that's what I like, the challenge.
