Weather and markets are still the two most important things to farmers and ranchers.

At AgriBeef, they take marketing very serious.

Tim Brady is AgriBeef's Director of Corporate Risk Management.

"My role is as I try to hedge our physical commodity risk at AgriBeef" said Brady. So, I take our our feeder cattle and our fat cattle buy and potential buy and try to limit the operational price fluctuations that we see with those commodities. I also do it on the grain side with the corn and wheat markets although given number of cattle that we have right now, I'm much more busy on the cattle side. I

also do try to provide some insight to our beef team as they're thinking about their plans for pricing and forward contracting with customers like what affects the cattle market might have on the beef markets and how that would change their decisions on a go forward basis."
