NutriSync

NutriSync

Loveland agronomist Joe Cacka is one smart cookie. I got on the phone with him to talk about a product called NutriSyncTM D and ended up with a chemistry lesson. “It can actually move nutrients up and downward in the plant. There are different forms of chelation. You've got your ligno chelates, amino acid chelates and those kinds of things. Well this is a very small six carbon ring chelated product. Actually, plants produce it themselves in different isomers of that. Humans produce it as well to carry nutrients throughout our own bodies. They use it in chemotherapy to deliver radiation to the cancer. This chemistry is a plant version of that example and there are about five isomers of it that plants produce. There is a difference between monocots and dicots in which the isomers work better in moving nutrients up and down in them. So nutrients are moved to the growing points, dropped off, and then go up and down the plant in a continuing cycle.
