Farm Progress Show is a 3 day event which showcases products, farm industry professionals, manufacturers and suppliers of fertilizers, seeds, farm equipments and machineries and livestock and dairy industry professionals etc. I asked Rosemary Schimek, Corporate Marketing Director for the Farm Progress show exactly what it was: "The Farm Progress show is the nations largest outdoor farm show. It draws producers from all over the nation and from 54 international countries as well. It is designed to keep farmers up to date technologically plus all the new equipment, products, services that have been introduced in the ag world. The show does not cover every niche of agriculture. It certainly covers wheat, corn, it won't have the cotton pickers there but it will have the engines that the cotton pickers use and of course all of the technology for the tractors and planters that are pretty universal. It is more of a row crop and of course small grains and it does have a livestock section. It's not really a dairy show but it is certainly a beef show. From the aspect of dairy, it will have alfalfa there but it will not have the milking operations and the milking equipment that. Producers would need. 2018... 28th to 30th August in Boone County
