Rising Anti Animal Ag

On June 11 I interviewed Hannah Thompson from the animal agriculture alliance and this is what she said: "The Animal Agriculture Alliance, a nationwide nonprofit organization working to bridge the communication gap between farm and fork, is appalled by the recent actions of Direct Action Everywhere, an extreme animal rights group. As part of its "Animal Liberation Conference," Direct Action Everywhere spearheaded a protest during which hundreds of activists descended upon a California farm. The activists unlawfully entered a barn and stole animals. Ultimately, dozens of activists were arrested for trespassing on the farm."

Now this from Janet Riley, Senior Vice President of public affairs at the North American Meat Institute: "We are going to continue to see consumers removed from agriculture. That's not going to change. The big challenge there is not just that they are not informed about agriculture but that they are more easily misled by activists who want to show them videos and they do not have the critical skills to discern what is not accurate because they may not have seen what is accurate."

Videos that are illegally obtained prompting ag gag laws all over the country.
