Market Roll Over

Market Roll Over

Market Roll Over. I'm Greg Martin with the Market Line Report for November 24, 2014.

The Thanksgiving holiday this week is more than likely going to compress the markets somewhat as we are starting to see some roll over happening. Frank Lesh with CME explains.

LESH: We do have rollover ongoing right now. First notice for December contracts is going to be Friday and we've got really pretty much the wheat - wheat volume is well into March as of now. We saw corn volume December to march about even up right now but that's going to change very quickly. A lot of traders are going to want to finish that roll before Friday's trade. We'll see probably all of that rollover get done the first several days

Now checking prices from Friday:

Chicago December Wheat ended Friday unchanged at 5-47 and 1/4.

December corn ended up 2 1/2 cents at 3-76 even.

Portland prices for soft white wheat were unchanged to up 5 at mostly 6-99 and 1/2.

White club wheat prices were up 5 to unchanged at mostly 9-45 and 3/4.

Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5 percent protein prices were down 3 and 1/4 cents at mostly 7-37.

DNS wheat with 14 percent protein prices were down 1 and 1/4 cents at mostly 9-47 and 1/4.

December live cattle were up 7 at 170-95.

January Feeder cattle were also up 4 1/4 at 236.

December class III milk was unchanged at 18-69.
