This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for March 9th. South American crop numbers increasing, driving US numbers lower. Let's go to Scott Shellady from the floor of the CME in Chicago as he explains more on the Grain market.

Chicago markets, July wheat prices closed the day dn 8 ¾, at 462 ½. Chicago July Corn prices were dn 3 ½, to finish the day at 379 ¾. Prices in Portland for Soft White Winter Wheat of ordinary protein for Aug. NC were dn 8 ¾- Unch, ranging from 4-72 ¾ to 4-82. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11.5 % protein, future prices for Aug. NC were dn 6 ¼, ranging from 5-51 ¾ to 5-66 ¾. DNS Wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. NC were dn 6, ranging from 6-65 ¼ to 6-70 ¼. Aug. Live Cattle finished the day up 57 ½ cents, at 101.87 ½. May Feeder cattle were up 40 cents, at 122.05. May class III milk was up 13 cents at 16-26.
