This is Matt Rice with the Market Line Report for March 28th. Beef and Grains in the red all across the board as futures came to a close yesterday. Let's check in with Scott Shellady from the floor of the CME, as he breaks down the Grain Market.

Shellady "Hi I'm Scott Shellady on the CME Group Floors in Chicago on a Monday afternoon to get the week kicked off right. If you're talking about grains, we got to talk about that acreage that we're getting at the end of this week. It's been about supply, it's been about half way decent weather and these markets have kind of just continued to grind lower. Again Soybeans finished lower on the day today down over 4 cents, very quiet trade."

Chicago markets, Sept. wheat prices closed the day dn 4 ½, at 449. Chicago Sept. Corn prices were dn ¼, to finish the week at 371 ½. Prices in Portland for Soft White Winter Wheat of ordinary protein for Aug. NC were dn 4 ½ -1, ranging from 4-50 to 4-72. Hard Red Winter Wheat with 11.5 % protein, future prices for Aug. NC were dn 6 ¾, ranging from 5-09 ¼ to 5-24 ¼. DNS Wheat with 14 % protein, prices for Aug. NC were dn 2 ¼, ranging from 6-61 ½ to 6-66 ½. Aug. Live Cattle finished the week dn 10 cents, at 107.72 ½. May Feeder cattle were dn $1.02 ½ cents, at 131.22 ½. May class III milk was up 3 cents at 15-29.
