Friday's Grain Markets End Mixed

I'm KayDee Gilkey the Market Line Report for Monday, May 15th. Wheat was

mostly 1 to 5 cents lower.  From the floor of the CME Group here is Alan Knuckman.

Knuckman: "Corn was quiet today. Up a penny to 3-70 and 1/2 — 3-71 and 1/2 was the high and 3-68 was the low. So only a three cents range on the day quietly consolidating here. WE say no corn pop follow through. We've drifted higher here this week and we've had some positive numbers that came out from the USDA but on a weekly basis we're essentially unchanged from last Friday's close. This weekly's high was 3-75 and the low was 3-66 and we are smack in the middle."

Chicago July Wheat prices closed Friday down a penny at 4-32 and 3/4. July corn ended the day up 1 and 3/4 cents at 3-71.

Portland prices for June soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein ended the day mixed down a penny to up a nickel ranging from 4-75 to 4-87 and 3/4. Hard Red Winter wheat with 11.5% protein, prices for June were down 1 and 1/2 cents ranging from 5-14 and 1/4 to 5-24 and 1/4.
