sanders ... "This week we had 950 head of feeder cattle trade compared to last week. Feeder cattle stayed $2 higher in light test. Trade slow this holiday shortened week with good demand. CME positions have gained significant ground over the last couple of trading days with contracts trending up the limit yesterday on the August, September and October contracts. Feeder steers, medium number ones, current delivered price, 850 to 900 pounds, $141 to $145, delivered into Idaho. Feeder heifers medium number ones, current FOB price, 800 to 850 pounds, $134 to $136 in Washington and Oregon. "

Chicago July Wheat prices closed yesterday up ½ at 429 July corn ended the day up 2 ¼ at 372

Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for July ended the day up ½ ranging from 4-84 ½ to 4-85 Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for July were up 2 ½ ranging from 5-08 ¼ to 5-18 ¼ DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for July were up 5 ranging from 6-83 ¾ to 7-08 ¾

Live Cattle for June were up $3.40 at 131.00 Aug Feeder cattle were up $1.65 at 154.42 June Class III milk was dn $.14 cents at 16-52.
