This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Thursday, September 28th Cattle traders finding a little footing in the market. With more on that from the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Joe Vaclavik ...

Vaclavik ... "Boxed beef market has bounced this week. We saw a couple dollar improvement on Monday. We saw the same thing here at midday on Tuesday. So, the boxed beef market finally finding some footing here after what had been a pretty sharp collapse. I'd like to see that choice boxed market up above $200 again to kind of signal that maybe we've put in some low here big picture. Moving forward, the trade will be interested in the cash cattle trade this week. We've got the Fed Cattle Exchange on Wednesday. We'll see what transpires here in the country later in the week. I think most areas traded $108 last week so we'll see if can improve on that despite that bearish cattle on-feed report. Again, Joe Vaclavik from CME Group here in Chicago."
