The Colorado Corn Growers Association and Colorado Corn Administrative Committee collectively Colorado Corn are still on high alert for changes to the Renewable Fuel Standards. They fear non agriculture producers have swayed the White House toward changes that would hurt the industry.

"Renewable Fuel Standard being discussed at the White House and any discussions be had to change that definitely concern corn producers across the U.S"

Kim Reddin Spokeswoman for Colorado Corn says they have been waiting to hear what if any changes will take place.

Colorado Corn said is a statement the debate over RFS could include a deal with with oil refiners that would harm the RFS by capping the price of Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs). RINs are the serial numbers assigned to a batch of biofuel purchased by petroleum producers to meet the EPA's Renewable Fuel Standard.

Corn growers say a cap on RIN credits would take away the incentive to blend biofuels at a time when farm income is already at its lowest level since 2006.
