This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Friday, April 6th. Cattle trading continues an unsteady trend. From the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Larry Shover.

SHOVER ... "Yesterday's trading in live cattle was wild! At one point we had June futures down near $97 even, breaking that support of 97 and three-eighths shot up-limit towards the end of the day, closing yesterday $102.325. Today, up 2 percent on that gain. Momentum has gathered almost $104.5 on the day. Heavy trading with volume about 27,000. Boxed beef, wholesale prices came out mixed. Choice down $2.79 at $215.68. Select, up .77 cents at $206.95."

Chicago May Wheat prices closed yesterday up 9 at 463

May Corn was up 8 ½ at 389 ¼

Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for May ended the day unch ranging from 5-65 to 5-84 ¾ Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for April were up 12 ½ ranging from 6-33 ½ to 6-58 ½ DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for April were up 13 ranging from 7-04 ¾ to 7-34 ¾

Live Cattle for April were up $1.27 ½ at 114.27 ½ April Feeder cattle are up $2.97 ½ to 137.27 ½ April Class III milk was dn $.08 cents at 14.38
