This is Bob Larson with the Market Line Report for Thursday, June 7th. The cattle market shows some resiliency Wednesday. From the floor of the CME in Chicago, here's Larry Shover.

SHOVER ... "Livestock commentary focusing on August live cattle. Futures trapped in a narrow yet very volatile trading range, Monday down $1.17, Tuesday back up $1.60, today up about a half a percent at $1.04 ½ and some change. The market doesn't seem to be concerned with wholesale prices this morning. Choice came out down .22 cents at $227.36. Select was down a whopping $1.60 at $204.25."

Chicago July Wheat prices closed yesterday up 9 ¾ at 522

July Corn was dn 5 ½ at 379

Portland prices for soft white wheat of Ordinary Protein for June ended the day unch ranging from 5-90 to 6-00 Hard Red Winter wheat with 11 ½ % protein, prices for June were up 10 ¾ ranging from 6-64 ¾ to 6-89 ¾ DNS wheat with 14 % protein, prices for June were up 1 ¼ ranging from 7-33 ¼ to 7-48 ¼

Live Cattle for June were up $1.10 at 108.50 Aug Feeder cattle are up $.62 ½ to 147.02 ½ June Class III milk was up $.08 cents at 15.34
