Social Media and Networking Opportunity

There are many farmers and ranchers who are reaching out to consumer and opinion leaders about agriculture. Often the choice of these advocates are social media — with a blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest.
Whether you have been blogging for years, or just dabbled with Facebook — if you want to learn more the place for you to be is at the upcoming AgChat Foundations Fourth Annual Conference Cultivate and Connect that will be happening August 21-22 in Austin, Texas. AgChat Foundation Communications Director Jenny Schweigert says regardless of your social media skills there will be opportunities to learn and network.
Schweigert: “We’ve got all sorts of different things that they can do to learn about how to use social media to tell their stories better. We’ve got advance level and beginning levels — no matter where you are at in your social media career. So the goal is to help empower farmers and ranchers so that they can better tell they stories and help consumers and non-ag folks really understand where their food is coming from. And that is really the key to our conferences.”
She shares some of the events keynote speakers
Schweigert: “We’ve got some great keynote speakers. Thom Singer, U.S. Olympian Katie Uhlaender and also Bruce Vincent who is a great motivational ag speaker.”
