After a wet and snowy winter for the nation's Northwest corner, U.S. Representative Dan Newhouse, a Washington State Republican, says he's concerned what Central Washington farmers and forests will face in the coming months. Newhouse says the dry and breezy conditions have dried out much of the region, even leading to a few wildfires that we reported on a few days ago. While it's still too early to tell if the 2016 wildfire season will be anything like last year, he says it's important that preparations are made now.

Newhouse says one of those areas of emphasis is improving the communication breakdowns reported during the 2015 wildfire season.

Newhouse says there are some resource issues that still exist and he's hopeful his office can help address them in the coming weeks and months. Newhouse also stressed farmers should work now to save water now, to prevent from straining resources when the summer heat hits.

And picture this. Your cruising down the highway and your passing a semi when you look up and notice that it is driverless... At least as far as humans go. We know that Google is in the driverless car mode but 18 wheelers? Anthony Levandowski who helped Google with driverless cars now is putting together a startup to produce driverless trucks equipped with software, sensors, lasers and cameras.
